FJCC hosted a discussion on the growing opportunities for Finnish companies in Japan’s expanding defence sector. As Japan continues to increase its military budget, new areas of collaboration are emerging for Finnish expertise in technology, design, and defence solutions.
The session, “Digital Defence Ecosystem goes Japan – Japan ramps up military budget”, featured Jarmo Puputti and Tomi Kankainen from XD Solutions, who lead the Digital Defence Ecosystem – a network of over 50 Finnish defence and technology companies and research institutes. They shared perspectives on Japan’s defence priorities and how Finnish businesses can position themselves in this evolving and strategically important market.
The event brought together members of the Finland-Japan Chamber of Commerce both onsite at Magnusson Law and online, creating an active discussion on innovation, collaboration, and opportunities between Finland and Japan.
